JUNIOR PUBLICIST

Based out of Los Angeles

Narrative PR is looking for an exceptional executive assistant to join its Los Angeles team on groundbreaking work for the world's most influential filmmakers, actors, and production companies. The ideal candidate understands the entertainment/media landscape and is able to multi-task under breaking deadlines and have a solution-oriented mindset to stay one step ahead of all outcomes. Candidate must have excellent communication skills, maintain the highest level of confidentiality, have the ability to keep up with a fast-paced office, and remain composed in high-pressure environments. Must be able to multi-task under breaking deadlines and have a solution-oriented mindset to stay one step ahead of all outcomes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support client accounts - strategize, execute and maintain media campaigns and communicate back to the client

  • Build strategic alliances and relationships within the industry

  • Strengthen press relationships for both yourself as well as others in the company

  • Generate ideas / out of the box strategy for media outreach

  • Draft press materials, trade announcements, client schedules, and memos

  • Collaborate on new business pitches and proposals

  • Client coverage including tours and public appearances (may include some travel)

  • Handle video and photo approvals appropriately and in a timely manner

  • Mentor and guide assistants

REQUIREMENTS

  • A bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, English, or a related field

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of public relations experience- working with talent preferred

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proactive nature that is focused, sharp, and has a hard-working spirit

  • Motivated, resourceful, able to work independently or as part of a team

  • Be extremely well-organized and able to work in a supremely fast paced environment

  • A creative, solution-oriented thinker and a multi-tasker who can meet deadlines and manage several projects simultaneously

  • This is NOT a remote position. All candidates must live in Los Angeles and be able to work in the office on a daily basis

SALARY/BENEFITS

  • $65,000 - $70,000/year
