Human Resources/Operations Director (Los Angeles)

Narrative PR is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Human Resources/Operations Director to oversee daily administrative operations and ensure the smooth functioning of our office. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with excellent communication skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a strong sense of initiative. This role is essential to maintaining an efficient, organized, and welcoming work environment.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Oversee and coordinate daily office operations, manage office maintenance, security, phone and IT systems and processes.

  • Serve as the main point of contact for internal staff and external vendors for both the NY and LA offices

  • Troubleshoot general office inquiries with staff

  • Develop and implement office policies and procedures

  • Update all staff related documents, phone lists, addresses, birthdays, handbook

  • Approve expense reports, vacation days and general staff needs

  • Handle shipping, mail, and messengers for the office

  • Handle purchasing office supplies, kitchen supplies, computers, equipment, and phones etc. as needed

  • Coordinate company events and team-bonding activities, such as the annual holiday party

HUMAN RESOURCES FUNCTIONS:

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • Proven experience as an Office Manager, Operations Manager, or similar role. Minimum 2 years preferred.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable with other business software.

  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills

  • Able to work on multiple projects at once with the ability to prioritize tasks

  • Strong ability to solve problems, be resourceful and think independently

  • HR experience a plus

  • Able to handle any/all confidential information, issues and matters in a sensitive manner

  • Ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism in a fast-paced work environment

  • Enthusiastic, committed, and proactive; can be counted on to get the job done.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • This role is fully on-site in Sherman Oaks, CA.

  • This is a salaried, exempt position and is not eligible for overtime compensation.
