Human Resources/Operations Director (Los Angeles)
Narrative PR is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Human Resources/Operations Director to oversee daily administrative operations and ensure the smooth functioning of our office. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with excellent communication skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a strong sense of initiative. This role is essential to maintaining an efficient, organized, and welcoming work environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
Oversee and coordinate daily office operations, manage office maintenance, security, phone and IT systems and processes.
Serve as the main point of contact for internal staff and external vendors for both the NY and LA offices
Troubleshoot general office inquiries with staff
Develop and implement office policies and procedures
Update all staff related documents, phone lists, addresses, birthdays, handbook
Approve expense reports, vacation days and general staff needs
Handle shipping, mail, and messengers for the office
Handle purchasing office supplies, kitchen supplies, computers, equipment, and phones etc. as needed
Coordinate company events and team-bonding activities, such as the annual holiday party
HUMAN RESOURCES FUNCTIONS:
Recruitment and Onboarding: Lead efforts with recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding new staff.
Coordinate internal HR tasks in collaboration with the company’s PEO and business management teams.
Employee Relations: Addressing employee concerns, resolving conflicts, and fostering a positive work environment.
Compensation and Benefits: Administering employee benefits, managing payroll, and ensuring accurate compensation.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Proven experience as an Office Manager, Operations Manager, or similar role. Minimum 2 years preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable with other business software.
Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
Able to work on multiple projects at once with the ability to prioritize tasks
Strong ability to solve problems, be resourceful and think independently
HR experience a plus
Able to handle any/all confidential information, issues and matters in a sensitive manner
Ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism in a fast-paced work environment
Enthusiastic, committed, and proactive; can be counted on to get the job done.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This role is fully on-site in Sherman Oaks, CA.
This is a salaried, exempt position and is not eligible for overtime compensation.
